HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After a great joint fundraising event last weekend, the Boys and Girls Clubs of
Hutchinson and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Reno County are teaming up on a much larger program they hope will help area youth.
The two organizations announced they are launching a “Bigs in the Club” corporate program with Heartland Credit Union. Lindsey Fields with Boys and Girls Clubs talks about the new program:
Fields says the program will not only bring adult mentoring to participants, it will also provide positive reinforcement for youth who have gone through difficult times in their lives:
In addition to a targeted partnership to better serve kids, the two organizations will share office space as well. By the end of 2018, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hutchinson and Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters Serving Reno County will share an office at 111 N. Walnut, where the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hutchinson administrative office currently resides.
