New MRI scanner is a major addition to new hospital unit

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — With the dedication of the new ICU unit at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center comes a new piece of equipment that will help diagnose and treat patients. The hospital recently took possession of a new state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging system. Rollie White is the Director of Imaging Services for Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and says the new MRI scanner can provide much sharper results, thus providing better diagnosis’s for patients:

 

 

White says the new system also cuts down the time a patient is connected to the system:

 

The new MRI scanner carries a price tag of $2 million, and replaced a system that was more than 15-years-old.
