ORLANDO, Fla. – Allied Specialty Vehicles, Inc. announced this week that Matt Scheuler has been promoted to president of Collins Bus Corporation. Scheuler has been vice president of sales and marketing at Collins, which is located in South Hutchinson.
“I’m pleased to see Matt move into this leadership position,” said Tim Sullivan, ASV president and CEO. “Matt has a proven record of guiding consistent sales growth and sustaining strong customer relationships, making him the ideal person to continue advancing Collins in the school bus market.”
Scheuler added, “I’m thrilled to have this opportunity. Collins is the industry’s leading innovator as the company that introduced the first 16-20 passenger small school bus in 1967, earliest wheelchair lift in the mid-1970s and first propane fueled Type A school bus in 2010. When you combine this with our exceptional workforce and the largest distribution and service network of any school bus manufacturer in North America, Collins is poised to continue increasing its market share and setting the highest industry standards for manufacturing the most durable and reliable Type A school bus.”
Before being appointed vice president of sales and marketing earlier this year, Scheuler was director of sales at Collins and responsible for the company’s western region territories in the United States and Canada. Prior to this, he held several other positions of increasing responsibility at Collins since joining the company in 2001. Scheuler earned his bachelor degree from Wichita State University.
