Newton First Responders will be delivering food to families in need

NEWTON, Kan. – A project started by Newton School Resource Officer Gary Littlejohn to help families with food during the holiday season has grown tremendously according to a Facebook post on the Newton Police Department site. They say they have partnered with the Harvey County Sheriff’s Office, Dillon’s stores, and several community donations have made it a big success.

This year 210 families in Harvey County with 60 plus in Newton will be receiving two boxes of food to help make their holiday a little brighter.
