NICKERSON, Kan, — Nickerson High School will be looking for a new Principal. Kevin Abbott announced to the school district in a letter that he will resign effective at the end of his current contract which is July 1^st. The USD-309 School Board will take action on the resignation during Monday’s regular meeting.

Abbott’s letter to the board simply states that he will assist and support whoever is hired in their transition to the position. He went on to say that he appreciates the opportunity and support he has received during his years with the 309 school district.

Abbott came to Nickerson from Larned. He’s been with the Nickerson school district for 16 years.
