NICKERSON, Kan. — Officials at Nickerson High School are seeking sponsors to help fund a trip to New York City where the Nickerson High School Madrigals have been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall under the baton of composer/conductor Francisco Nunez.

He is apparently conducting the world premiere of specially commissioned work that he is writing for mass choir and orchestra. Twenty-one of the Nickerson Madrigals students will be performing in that choir.

School officials say they will work hard to raise money, but say not all have the same kind of financial support from their families.
