GREAT BEND, Kan. – The Great Bend Chiefs American Legion Baseball team found a way to bounce back from a loss and secure a win over Nickerson Monday night at the Great Bend Sports Complex. The 8-1 victory in the Zone Tournament sends Great Bend to the AA/AAA State Tournament that starts next week in Hays.  Nickerson had fought back through the losers bracket after winning their first game on Saturday over Beloit 3-0, but then dropped their next game to Hays 18-5.  Nickerson got passed Hutchinson 6-0 on Sunday as well as beating Salina to put them in the Championship game with Great Bend.
