Reno County Commissioners again discussed, but took no action Tuesday regarding a recent change in one R-Cat bus route that left two families without curb side service. R-Cat eliminated the route through west 25th Avenue due to the narrow street, and the need for more time to service the hospital campus. Two families with disabled members objected to the re-route because they had to catch the bus away from their home.
R-Cat Director Barb Lillyhorn said they ran a test run on the route and then rode with the bus in actual service to get a time line on the new route change. She said that she would have the results of the test runs available to the county commission at their next meeting.
During last weeks meeting, commissioners asked Lillyhorn to try and work out some type of solution to the problem. The commission is divided over whether to keep the route as it is, or return service along 25th Avenue.
