ELLSWORTH (AP) – A 52-year-old Ohio woman was killed, two others injured in a weekend crash in Lincoln County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Janine J. Reed of Minerva, Ohio, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Adam Gregory Reed. They were east bound in a construction zone when a tire on her vehicle failed causing her vehicle to roll and she was ejected from the vehicle. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

Reed and another passenger, 50-year-old George S. Reed, were both taken to Salina Regional Hospital for treatment in injuries. George Reed was also not wearing a seat-belt with this accident.

The accident occurring just after 4:30 p-m Saturday on I-70 east of the junction with K-156, or about 15-miles east of Ellsworth.
