Because of renovations to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center garages where the EMS crews are stationed, starting in mid-October, one of the EMS crews will be moved to South Hutchinson.

That’s the word received by the County Commission Tuesday. County Administrator Gary Meagher says that EMS officials worked that out with South Hutchinson Officials. They apparently always have two crews at the hospital, but because of the construction work, they needed to move at least one.

Meagher says it doesn’t appear that there will be much of a cost to make the move.

The work on the garages could last around 6-months and the move is just temporary.
