One of three people arrested back in August in a drug case waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday and entered guilty pleas to interference with law enforcement, obstruction, and no drivers license.

23-year-old Aaron Streight of Canton was orginally charged with interference with law enforcement, flee and elude and an expired license, but the state amended the second count to obstruction.

Streight was the driver of a vehicle that included two people suspected of having drugs. 22-year-old Michael DeShazo of 115 East 12th, and 22-year-old Kasey Pisoni of Stafford are both charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to package, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana.

The case starts with police looking for a small white pickup they suspected may have been involved in some burglaries. They spotted the vehicle driven by Streight, and the officer decided to stop the vehicle. Streight allegedly pulled into a driveway and took off running, but was quickly captured. This occurring in the 300 block of East 1st.

Meanwhile one of the people riding with him is alleged to have dropped some methamphetamine out a window, that suspected of being DeShazo. He along with Pisoni were arrested on the drug charges.

Streight admitted to the charges but denied in court any knowledge of anyone in his vehicle having drugs even though they were tossing them out as he drove along.

Sentencing in the case is set for December 16, while DeShazo is scheduled for a status hearing later this week.
