one of two arrested in drug case scheduled for hearing

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The preliminary hearing for one of two people charged in a drug case has been continued.

Morgan Walkup and Amy Irvin are accused of being in possession of methamphetamine and other drugs with the intent to distribute.

Law enforcement served a search warrant on a home on West 6th in South Hutchinson on Oct. 3, 2017, and reportedly found the drugs and drug paraphernalia, including a scale.

They’re also charged with two counts of aggravated endangerment of a child because two children were in the home at the time.

Walkup has two other cases that will be considered during that hearing. That’s for violating his community corrections for two different convictions of violating the offender registration.

The hearing for Walkup was continued, but the Irvin hearing is scheduled in front of District Judge Joe McCarville.
