HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Salthawks were blown away by the Derby Panthers 63-0 Friday night.
Derby’s running back Tre Washington scored the first touchdown from a yard out to close a four-play drive.
Tre Washington scored again with 7:01 left in the first quarter.
Two more touchdowns in the first quarter gave Derby a 28-0 lead.

After a punt return to the Salthawks’ 10-yard line, quarterback Hunter Igo scored from seven yards out with 9:12 left in the second quarter.
The Panthers scored two more touchdowns from Hunter Igo and Kevion Edwards to make it 56-0 at the half.
No points were scored in the third quarter. Derby found the end zone one last time in the fourth quarter to finish the game at 63-0.
The Hutchinson Salthawks play the Salina South Cougars at Gowans Stadium next Friday night.
