Pedestrian bridge over K-61 to close Monday

The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced that because of the continued construction for the new alignment of K-61 Highway in Reno County, the pedestrian bridge over K-61 Highway at 30th will close starting Monday, March 12.

Then the bridge will be removed to make way for the construction of the new K-61 driving lanes.

A new pedestrian bridge will be constructed and in place this fall.

The bridge is used by many pedestrians and school students as an easy way over to the Dillon Nature Center.
