HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Police were busy with enforcement activities over the weekend.

On Friday, they had four extra officers out for DUI enforcement. They made 27 stops. three were tested for DUI and two of the three were arrested. Other citations written included seat belt, speeding, no or suspended license, and insurance registrations.

Saturday, their Buckle up Hutch enforcement had one officer enforcing seat belt violations in the areas of the 600 block of East 11th and also on Apple Lane.

11 adult seat belt and one 14 to 17 yr old seat belt citations were given. Other citations were given for speeding.

Police also had another DUI check lane Saturday night into Sunday morning. Four extra officers out looking for DUI’s. 31 stops were made from 10 p.m. till 2 a.m. That resulted in two DUI arrests and a few other citations written.
