HUTCHINSON, Kan. — It won’t be official for a while, but it appears a Reno County woman may have contracted West Nile Virus.

The Reno County Health Department could not comment on the matter, but a Hutchinson woman reported to a Wichita television station that she has West Nile.

If true, she would become the second confirmed case of the disease, along with a person from Republic County in north central Kansas.
