HUTCHINSON, Kan. — About 2,000 customers lost power this morning after a car struck a pole. The crash happened in an alley near 11th & Elm. The driver of the vehicle apparently left the scene.

This occurred around 9:30 a.m. Most residents had power back just before 10 a.m.

During the outage, officers directed traffic at a number of intersections, including: 4th & Adams, 5th & Monroe, 11th and Main, and 9th and Main.
