HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After a judge denied a bond reduction for a 34-year-old man jailed early New Year’s Day, charged with voluntary manslaughter for allegedly stabbing a man to death, we now have a date for his preliminary hearing.

The hearing for Kevin Wayne Ginn Jr. will be on March 28. Both sides agreed to the hearing date during the waiver-status docket on Wednesday.

Ginn allegedly stabbed 24-year-old Deshamus Diron Lucky during a large disturbance just after 2 a.m. in the area of 8th & Madison.

The hearing will be in front of Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen.
