Pretty Prairie woman killed in Friday crash

PRETTY PRAIRIE, Kan. – A 69-year-old Pretty Prairie woman was killed in an accident in the County Friday evening. The accident occurring on the 26,100 block of South Dean Rd

Kaylynn Volpe was reported to be trapped in the vehicle. Pretty Prairie Fire units arrived and quickly extracted her and she was rushed to Kingman Hopsital in critical condition. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, Volpe was pronounced dead due to injuries sustained in the accident.

Volpe was in a vehicle which was being towed by another vehicle. They were traveling north bound on Dean Rd when her vehicle veered to the right and struck the bridge guard rail on the east side of Dean Rd. She was not wearing her seat belt.

The accident occurring around 6:11 p.m.
