HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on a proposed special use permit that would allow for a large dog kennel in the county.

The proposal is from Henry and Sara Brubaker who want to build and operate the facility in the 8100 block of North Yaggy Road. The facility would be able to house a maximum of 100 dogs and would be located on 2.6 acres of land. The matter is up for public hearing only and no action will be taken. Also tomorrow, the Commission will discuss, but take no action on sick and personal leave policies for temporary employees who are working full-time hours for the county, and consider pay and holiday schedules for 2015.

Tuesday’s Reno County Commission meeting is set for 9 a.m. at the Reno County Court House.
