HUTCHINSON, Kan. — We don’t hear much about it unless there is a large outbreak, but rabies in animals in Kansas is still out there.

Dr. Roy Russell with Country Junction Animal Clinic has the latest numbers for rabies cases reported in Kansas this year:

 

The number of rabies cases in skunks is concerning. Russell was asked why this is so prevalent in Kansas?
