HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Although there are virtually no items listed for the Reno County Commission meeting Tuesday, it doesn’t mean other items can’t be brought up.

The commissioners will have another study session Tuesday afternoon when they will consider funding for next year for outside groups. That study session will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Reno County Courthouse.
These groups include the Arts and Humanities, Conservation District, Economic Development, EMS, First Generation Video, Horizons, Reno County Museum, the Quest Center, Reno County 4-H Fair, Reno County Drug Court, Reno County Extension and Tech.
By far, EMS is requesting the most money, $1,572,140. That’s $388,000 more than what the county had approved for this year.
No decisions are expected to be made during this study session. Each group will give a pitch to justify the funding they are requesting.
