Sales tax receipts for the month of March show a drop from the previous month by 40-thousand dollars ending up at 352-thousand, 590-dollars.

However, the taxes were higher then the same period last year by about 36-thousand dollars.

For the year, the county has collected nearly 1-million, 116-thousand dollars, or about 56-thousand dollars more then this time last year when the county collected 1-million, 59-thousand dollars.

Sales tax collected in March reflect sales for the month of January.
