One of three men charged in separate cases in federal court in Kansas with failing to register as sex offenders includes a man convicted of a crimes in Reno County.

31-year-old Bobby Moore, of Temple Hills, Maryland, was convicted in Reno County District Court of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child and aggravated indecent liberties.

The others included 69-year-old Billy Joe Lock, of Prairie Village, Kansas was convicted in San Bernandino, Calif., on a charge of lewd and lascivious acts against a child under 14. And 41-year-old Jermaine Smith, of Brookfield, Mo., was convicted in Wyandotte County District Court of attempted aggravated indecent solicitation of a child.

Indictments allege each of the men failed to register as required by the federal Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.

If convicted, they face a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000. The U.S. Marshals Service investigated.
