HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A Reno County Sheriff Deputy was arrested shortly before midnight Thursday by officers with the South Hutchinson Police Department

Forty-year-old Jeramy Hedges was charged with disorderly conduct/ domestic violence. The arrest came after an incident with a female acquaintance.

The criminal investigation is continuing by the South Hutchinson Police Department.

Meanwhile, an internal investigation is being conducted by the Reno County Sheriff’s Office.

In a news release, Sheriff Randy Henderson says Detective Hedges is on administrative leave without pay.
