Reno County Sheriff Randy Henderson has announced that his department will be holding public tours for the Reno County Jail starting Sunday November 20, at 3:15 p-m, and again at 4:15 p-m.

He says these tours, and others in the near future, are designed to let the public see, for themselves, the condition of the Reno County Jail. This is in preparation for a vote next year for the building of a new jail.

But, there are restrictions, tour participants cannot bring any items considered contraband into the facility which of course would include any weapon such as a gun, knives or any sharp objects, and explosives.

But, that would also include no tobacco products, illegal drugs, cell phones, video equipment or cameras.

A photo ID will be required to enter, you must be at least 18-years-old to enter, and he urges you to leave purses or backpacks in your vehicle.
