It was just after 2 a-m, Saturday morning when Reno County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the area of 4th and Kent Rod., on the report of a possible kidnapping. Once deputies were on scene, they were directed to an address on Zolman Road where a large party was underway.

The investigation showed that a fight occurred at the party and two men drove away from the house. They apparently stopped at the church at 4th & Kent Rd. One or more individuals then arrived at that location and began beating on the two men again. The vehicle they were in was then stolen and the two men lost contact with each other during the altercation, which resulted in the report of a possible kidnapping.

The man who was believed to be kidnapped was found walking along 4th Street and was able to tell deputies that he had not been kidnapped, just walking down the road.

Further investigation into the fight that occurred on Zolman Road led to numerous people being cited for illegal consumption of alcohol. Two people were arrested for hosting minors consuming alcohol and one person was arrested for DUI.

The investigation continues into the fight and theft of the car.
