Reno County Treasure Clark Miller has released the latest sales tax number that shows a substantial drop from the previous month.
The September numbers show that the county collected 336-thousand, $978.00 in September, a good drop from August numbers when the county brought in over 395-thousand dollars. However, it’s still better then the numbers for the same month last year. In September of 2011, the county collected almost 335-thousand, and in 2010, the number was just under 333-thousand dollars.
For the year, the county has collected 3-million, 157-thousand dollars, while the county was at 3-million, 23-thousand dollars. In other words, the county is still running ahead of last year by over 134-thousand dollars.
The numbers for September reflect sales in the county in July.
