Reno County United Way Has a New Home

The Reno County United Way has a new home. Executive Director Tona Turner says the United Way made the move to the former Mencl Photography business at 924 North Main. They hope to be up and running by the time this years campaign begins, which is September 4th. Turner says the move is beneficial in several ways, most notably the cost of owning the building, versus renting from its present location at the 1st National Bank.

The United Way paid about $985.oo dollars per month for the office and storage space which is no longer needed. The cost of the new building is further offset by a leased apartment on the second floor. The new office also gives the United Way more room for volunteers and staff. Turner says they will have some disruption in phone service for a few days while the move is made but should be at full speed by next week.
