HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Youth Services is collecting money to buy Christmas gifts for the children in the Hutchinson shelter.

So far, they collected $600 from county employees and received a check from Seat King, LLC in Hutchinson for $517. The Nickerson High School Student Council brought the shelter a bunch of hygiene supplies and a check for $108.

The money collected will buy presents for the children in the shelter over the holidays.

Commission Chairman Dan Deming was impressed with those who gave and will commend the organizations with thank-you letters.
