In the Eagle Radio Studios Monday were five residents of Denmark, visiting our great state as part of an exchange through Rotary Club International.

Kia Mulbjerg, Charlotte Ballebye Moller, Ejnar Flensborg, Kim Undsberg Hansen, and Philip Green have been touring a number of sights in Central and Western Kansas, and were guest at the local Rotary meeting at noon Monday. They then made a stop at the Eagle Media Center for a tour, and radio interview.

They also took trips to Kinsley, Greensburg, and Ft. Larned. One of them stated that this was one place they really enjoyed visiting was Ft. Larned.

But, they also visited with Cessna plant in Wichita, plan to visit the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, the Kansas Underground Salt Museum, just to name a few.

During the interview with Eagle, they told of how nice and impressed they are with the people of Kansas. All of them say the people they have met have shown them a lot of hospitality.

Foods, the bug food there is pig, and how exactly it’s prepared they didn’t say only that its cooked and on an open bun, with lots of vegetables on top.

A couple of foods they did like were “Smores” over an open camp fire, and they all agreed on there love of American Steak.

They also talked about the difference in the Rotary Clubs here compared to their country, where they break them up into smaller clubs once they reach 50-member or more, but also do the same type of local projects to help kids and schools.

They also indicated that the economy is not hurting in Denmark, compared to other European Countries such as Greece which is still in turmoil and is hurting stock markets around the world including here in the United States.

Although we take pride in being friendly here in Kansas, they were equally friendly and open to chatting with us.
