LYONS – A 55-year-old Lyons man was killed Thursday evening in a two vehicle accident, while the driver of the other vehicle also from Lyons was taken to a Wichita hospital.

Killed was Luis Gonzales who was westbound on his vehicle on U-S- 56 and apparently crossed the center line and struck the vehicle driven by 65-year-old Jimmy M. Bound, head-on.

Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene, while Bound was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment of his injuries.

The accident occurring just after 9 p-m, Thursday evening about two and half miles east of Lyons.
