MANHATTAN – Riley County Police Department officials say a person of interest has recently been developed after speaking with a witness from a 1977 homicide.

Now, RCPD officials are asking for the publics help in tracking the person down.

On August 4, 1977, Riley County Police were called to North Crest Trailer Park (Hunter’s Island), where the body of Warren “Tiger” Lewis was discovered.

The Riley County Police said in a press release they would like to speak with the ex-wife of Dewayne Morrell, also known as “Cornbocker.” Her first name might be Wynonna, and she is believed to reside in New York. She might also have an uncle that goes by the name of Dennis White, who possibly passed away several months ago. It is also believed that Dewayne Morrell passed away in the 1980′s.
