HUTCHINSON, Kan. – City officials advise that, near the intersection of 27th and Main, all traffic will be closed off west of Main on 27th for waterline construction beginning Thursday. The closure is expected to last approximately one week.

During this time, traffic on Main will be shifted and restricted to one lane in each direction. The signal at 27th and Main will not be operational and temporary stop signs will be in place for intersection control.

The lane shift and restricted traffic will continue for several weeks after the waterline installation in order to complete other utility work near the intersection.
