SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Barb Ford has been a long-time teacher at South Hutchinson Elementary School. She also has leukemia. This Saturday, friends, family and school district supporters will gather for the Running For Barb 5K and 1-mile runs. The event begins at 9:30 a.m. at Rice Park.

Hosted by South Hutchinson Elementary School, everyone is invited to come together and help support Ford. All proceeds will help Ford and her family cover the cost of her medical bills and travel expenses.

While registration is closed, anyone is still invited to come and run and make a donation. Even if you don’t want to run, you can still make a donation. Refreshments will be for sale that morning as well.
