HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The latest sales tax numbers for Reno County in the month of May show the county collected $360,832 — an increase over April and a slight increase over May of 2017, when the county collected $356,821.
The county collected $445,070 to pay off the bonds for the Reno County jail and other projects. That number is an increase from last year’s $439,610.
All taxes collected last month actually represent sales in the month of March.
