SALINA – A 26-year-old Salina man was arrested Thursday around 5 p-m, after a brief high speed pursuit.

Salina Police say that Jerry Hassler who had outstanding warrants, fled from officers on a short high speed near Prescott and 11th street before jumping out of the car and running.

The car continued rolling, taking out a sign and scraping a utility pole before stopping.

Hassler was apprehended after a short foot chase involving a police K-9.
