WICHITA – An 18-year-old Salina man has been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in Wichita in drug charges.

Gabriel Christian Seim is charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a user of controlled substances, and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm with an altered serial number. The crimes are alleged to have occurred Aug. 24 in Saline County.

If convicted of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, he faces a maximum penalty of five years and a fine up to $250,000, for unlawful possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, not less than five years and not more than life and a fine up to $250,000, for unlawful possession of a firearm by a user of controlled substances, a maximum penalty of 10 years and a fine up to $250,000 and unlawful possession of a firearm with an altered serial number: A maximum penalty of five years and a fine up to $250,000.
