Nothing says the start of summer like Salt City Splash’s opening day. Hutchinson’s premiere water park will open officially to the public on Monday, May 28 from 12:30-6:30 p.m. They will open daily at these hours through mid-August.
A special sneak peek day will take place on Sunday, May 27 from 12:30-3:30 p.m., where visitors may swim at reduced daily admission rates: Adults 18 and older – $3; Youth 8-17 yrs old – $2; and Children 3-7 yrs old – $1. It will also be the last day individuals may purchase season passes at the special early bird rates. Season passes may also be purchased this week at any Hutch Rec facility: our Downtown Office at 17 E. 1st; Elmdale Community Center at 400 E. Ave. E; and Dillon Nature Center at 3002 E. 30th Ave.
Salt City Splash is located in Carey Park and features a tiny toy pool for children 7 and younger; a zero-depth entry pool that features several splash toys and shade structures; two large slides that dump into a catch pool; and a large 50-meter pool that features diving boards, a slide, basketball goals, floating toys, lap swimming, and more.
