NICKERSON, Kan. — A semi driver from Enid, Okla., was injured in an accident Wednesday morning west of Nickerson.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Michael Albert Ake failed to negotiate the curve on Sego Road, just south of the junction with K-14, and the truck overturned.

Ake was transported by Reno County EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The accident occurred around 10:50 a.m., five miles west of Nickerson.
