* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
McPherson County in central Kansas…
Northeastern Reno County in south central Kansas…
Harvey County in south central Kansas…
West central Marion County in central Kansas…
Saline County in central Kansas…

* Until 1215 AM CDT.

* At 1043 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Little
River, or 12 miles northeast of Lyons, moving southeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Salina, Hutchinson, Newton, Mcpherson, Hesston, Lindsborg, South
Hutchinson, Halstead, Moundridge, Sedgwick, Inman, Buhler,
Nickerson, Burrton, Galva, Canton, Marquette, Assaria, Gypsum and
Brookville.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 36 and 95.
Interstate 70 between Mile Markers 236 and 266.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
