HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Despite current conditions, the severe weather season is really just three or four weeks away.
The annual Reno County severe weather awareness meeting, Storm Fury on the Plains, is set for 6:30 p.m., Feb. 28, at the Fire Command and Training Center, 3210 E. Fourth Ave.
The free program provides severe weather training and education for the public. The 2-hour session consists of a multimedia presentation, lecture, and question and answer period.
The event is a joint effort of Reno County Emergency Management and the Wichita National Weather Service office.
