RENO COUNTY — Just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, the Hutchinson Fire Department responded to 3516 W. 4th Street for a structure fire.

Initial arriving units reported a fully-involved working fire in a 20’ by 30’ shed that also started trees and adjacent grass on fire.

Crews quickly contained the fire to the area of origin. No one was home at the time of the fire.

The building and its contents were destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Hutchinson Fire Department was assisted by the Reno County Sheriff’s Department and Westar Energy.
