Hutchinson Police served a search warrant at a home at 1605 O’Daniel, Monday morning after reports of a possible shooting at that location.
Officers responded to the report and located 26-year-old Jarrod Dean Farrell. The investigation revealed that Farrell who resides at the home, fired multiple shots in the home, but no injuries were reported.
Police served a search warrant on the home looking for anything that might include a victim. But, no one was found.
Farrell was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Firearm by a convicted Felon, Criminal Discharge of a Firearm and Interference with Law Enforcement. Farrell remains in the custody of the Reno County Sheriff. His bond set at 3-thousand, 500-dollars and he’s now free on that bond.
According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, Farrell had been on community corrections for convictions of theft, DUI, and drug charges all from Ford and Kiowa Counties.
A neighbor told Eagle Radio that the residents of the home had just recently moved in. They also told us that there maybe a bullet hole in the roof of the home.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing according to Police Lt. Marty Robertson.
