The Siemens Wind Nacelle Plant in Hutchinson has it’s new plant manager. Siemens Energy, Inc. announced the appointment of Gus Shaar to the position of plant manager of the Hutchinson manufacturing facility. Shaar will begin his new duties effective March 1. 

Shaar has thirteen years experience with Siemens, most recently as the manufacturing manager at the Siemens Industry plant in Grand Prairie, Texas.  Gus and his family will be relocating to Hutchinson in the coming months.

Shaar replaces interim Manager Jim Jones, who is the head of manufacturing of Siemens Energy’s Wind Power Americas business.

Shaar takes over the Siemens plant 5-months after the plant laid off about 60% of its workforce due to uncertainty about the future of wind energy, and the elimination of federal production tax credits for wind power.
