Six Hospitalized After Disturbance At Lake Afton Early Tuesday morning

GODDARD – Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a disturbance at Lake Afton early Tuesday morning.

They located six victims who ranged in age from 21-to-30 years old and were taken to Wichita hospitals with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, deputies arrested six suspects on charges of aggravated battery. They include 25-year-old Anthony Cook, 20-year-old Casey Hallowell, 22-year-old Tyson Cook, 20-year-old Erick White and 20-year-old Buddy Wheelock, all from Haysville. Also arrested was 18-year-old Christopher Crow from Wichita.

The investigation continues to determine the cause of the disturbance but officials believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor.

The result of the sheriff’s investigation will be turned over to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for possible charges.

The incident reported around 2:15 a-m, at Lake Afton at 25401 West 39th St. South, near Goddard

Names of the victims were not released.
