HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Sheriff’s Department is investigating possible criminal activity
at Reno Valley Middle School.
Because the investigation is ongoing Detective Steve Lutz of the SO could no comment on many details. He did say that law enforcement was called by the school Wednesday. Since then the SO has confiscated several cell phones and talked with several students and parents regarding the case. He went on to say that other media was putting information out that was from an outside source and was not released by the SO so as to protect any juveniles who may be involved.
Lutz did say that no students were threatened at any time, and again no arrests have been made. All information is being turned over to the Reno County DA’s office.
