SOUTH HUTCHINSON — The South Hutchinson City Council will set a date for the public hearing on the 2020 budget during Monday’s meeting.
The proposed budget totals $6,273,611 on total taxes levied of $1,062,003. Under the proposed numbers, the mill levy will fall from 43.8 to 43.5 mills. The general fund increases by just over $152,000 in the general fund and an increase in debt service. The increase is offset by a $577,000 increase in property valuations.
If approved, the public hearing will be held Aug. 19 during the regular council meeting. Monday’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the city offices at 2 S. Main.
