A 52-year-old Salina man is jailed on suspicion of aggravated battery after McPherson police responded to 1144 Bridger Court, at the Nation Pizza and Foods regarding a report of a stabbing.

A 28 year old McPherson resident was found with a knife wound and transported by McPherson EMS to McPherson Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. He was later transported by LifeWatch Helicopter to Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center where he remains in critical, but stable condition.

McPherson Police arrested Minh Noc Nguyen of Salina, who remains in custody in the McPherson County Jail on charges of Intentional Aggravated Battery.

McPherson Police Chief Robert McClarty says the investigation on this incident is on going.
