ST. JOHN – A 26-year-old Wichita man was taken to a Wichita hospital after a two vehicle accident in Stafford County Thursday afternoon.

Anthony Darnell Phillips was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Tyler Andrew Hosman also of Wichita.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the vehicle they were in was struck as they traveled eastbound on U-S 50. A vehicle driven by 75-year-old Therean Leal Towns from a town called Palco was northbound on U-S 281 failed to stop at the intersection and struck the Hosman vehicle.

Phllips was taken to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, while Hosman was taken to the Stafford County hospital, and Towns was taken to the Great Bend Regional Hospital.

The accident occurring around 4:30 p-m Thursday afternoon, about 2-miles south of St. John.
